Early december 2004 a Memorial Plaque
for Marquerite was placed at Euston Station. With the help of many people and parties this was made possible ,and we are very
thankful to all.
The whole family went down to the spot in London,
where Marquerite lost her life. We placed roses with personal cards attached on them.It was an emotional moment... It feels
right to have a Memorial Plaque in honour of our beloved sister and daughter and friend. She will never be forgotten and will
stay in our hearts forever!
I've placed some photos below for you to view the
plaque, that is attached on the wall on the platform.
In the same week we got a special invitation to attend
the ceremony of the bravery awards. The awards were presented by the Chief Constable of the police, and
some awards were recommended by the judge in the courtcase. It is rare that families can attend this kind of ceremony, so needless
to say we felt very privileged and honoured. To us all these special people are heroes and they deserved to be honoured. We're
greatful to all of them and meeting them was a very special and unforgettable experience.

Marquerite was my colleague, and friend...
I miss her for her kindness, and her smile... Why was it that she had to die, with so much yet to do? Because sometimes
God misses his creations so much, he has to call them home sooner, to return them to where they have to be. But they will
like Marquerite in heaven... for she has a kind and smiling soul.
-Tom Pontifex
"Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old
time is still a flying; And this same rose that smiles today, tomorrow will be dying."
-Old english poem
Marquerite.... you are forever in my heart
